The Journey, In English

This isn't just a bunch of songs thrown together. I thought everything through to be a journey, a concept album that takes you by the hand and leads you through all the stages of grief: from the denial that leaves you groundless, through the anger that makes you scream, the bargaining that deceives you, the depression that drowns you, to the acceptance that sets you free and the reconstruction that makes you fly.

The 14 main tracks are the soundtrack to this emotional rollercoaster, and to tie it all together, I used interludes that are like portals into my soul, explaining the songs. I took texts and letters I wrote in the midst of chaos and transformed them into raw spoken word, ritualistic choirs, and soundscapes that pull you inside my head.

My Pieces Becoming Art

Writing this album was my therapy, my way of "vomiting" the pain and then looking at it from the outside to understand and rebuild. "Rainbow of Shards" is this: my pieces becoming art, my story becoming strength, my grief becoming queer celebration. An invitation for you to see yourself in this journey, find your own strength, and dance on the shards — because in the end, we can always build a rainbow.
